Terra Nova

Absolute Transcription
They hire both full time and part time work at home medical transcriptionists. The pay period is the 1st and 15th of each month, and you are required to own your own foot pedal.
Athreon
You must show proof of graduation from a certified training program, or have on the job experience, either one is acceptable. Like most, if not all of the companies on this list, you will be hired as an independent contractor. You are paid weekly via PayPal and must be able to hit strict 24 hour turnaround time deadlines.

StenoMed does not list graduation from a training program as a requirement on their careers page, so this might be a good one for brand new transcriptionists without much experience. Ubiqus is always hiring work from home general transcriptionists, and occasionally medical transcriptionists. Their career page lists only on site opportunities, but you can contact them to inquire about remote jobs.

A college diploma and three years of medical transcription experience is listed as requirements, and the higher pay reflects this. Additionally, if you have many years of experience in the field, you could apply to work as an account manager or supervisors for Perfect Transcription.

Hires both work at home medical billing and transcription employees. Full and part time remote positions are available, and certification from a training program is desirable, but not required. However, job experience is required, so if you lack this, you’ll need a certificate if you want a chance at getting hired.

At one time, MModal was a massive employer for remote medical transcription jobs. I’m not sure if they still hire work at home medical transcriptionists, and I wasn’t able to find any current transcription job openings. I’ll still leave this here, and if someone could clarify whether or not they still hire work at home medical transcriptionists, I’d appreciate that.
GMR Transcription
Certification or experience is required, but they state that because of their strict grading policies, getting hired without them could be difficult. As with most companies, you will need to pass a screening test. A 2 hour probation period must be completed before you can begin paid typing jobs.
